Dr. Ha is a Texan-raised and educated, board certified periodontist. He attended Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth and graduated with a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry with Magna Cum Laude honors in just three years. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry and immediately went straight into his residency in periodontics at the same school. He completed his studies and earned his Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology.

Dr. Ha’s greatest professional achievement was becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology at his first opportunity. Of all practicing dentists, less than 3% are specialists in periodontics and oral implantology, and even less are board certified.

After residency, Dr. Ha practiced in a busy, reputable private practice limited to periodontics and implantology in the Dallas area. He gave several guests lectures to undergrad and graduate students and was an adjunct faculty for the Department of Periodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry.

Dr. Ha actively maintains involvement in his profession at national, state, and local levels to ensure its growth and success. He continues to serve as the Chair of the Membership Committee for the Southwest Society of Periodontists and as a judge for the John F. Prichard Prize in Graduate Research Competition.

Dr. Ha also serves as the Director of the Central Texas Study Club, a professional organization (an affiliate of the prestigious Seattle Study Club) that promotes dental education for dental professionals.

When not hard at work providing their patients with healthy, happy smiles, Dr. Ha spends time with his wife and three children exploring both Austin’s urban and natural attractions.
